Commissioned by the Tarlac State University - Supreme Student Council (SSC), freshmen from the various colleges of the institution were greeted with high spirits during the "ALPAS 2024: Ambisyong Lalayag sa Pangarap, Aabante at Sisinag", a culmination of a week-long welcome at the TSU Gymnasium at TSU Main, yesterday, August 9, 2024.

After a welcome remark by Vice President on Research Innovation and Extension, Dr. Wilmark Ramos, performances from the TSU Arnis Team, TSU Performing Arts and Performing Arts Dance Troupe showcased the talent that has grown in the university.

Short chants were also done by the freshmen with their respective colleges' mascots dancing with them. Most notably, the mascot of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), the Gray Bulldog, led the biggest crowd of the event.

Brief introductions of the numerous organizations and publications that make up the student life in TSU were also witnessed, before a minor power outage delayed the speech of the TSU Safe Space Society.

Awards were also handed to the winners of the competitions organized during the Freshman Week, such as the digital poster competition, photo essay, and mini-vlog contests.

The SSC also did its annual unity dance, which was inspired by BINI's hit "Karera", as well as the TSU Wave and Chant led by SSC President Maria Angelica Fresnido.
